WIM Net™
What is Transmetric WIM Net™?
WIM Net™ is the Transmetric Traffic™ module dedicated to managing weigh-in-motion (WIM) data.
It contains data storage and quality control functions to properly maintain a set of WIM monitoring devices as
well as providing a set of powerful reports for consumers of WIM data.
Massively Scalable Database Architecture
One of the most challenging aspects in managing WIM data involves the design and efficient operation of a vehicle-by-vehicle database.
The volume of data that needs to be stored is often misunderstood.
WIMNet™ is built on a massively scalable database architecture which has been engineered to store vast quantities of
individual axle weights and dimensions.
This architecture has successfully allowed some customers to store 20 years of individual axle data - over 1 billion records -
on just an inexpensive server.
Highlighted Capabilities
